At Be Well Berlin, we’re proud to provide respectful, affirming care for transgender, nonbinary, gender-diverse, and Two-Spirit individuals seeking hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and comprehensive gender-affirming support.
Whether you're starting HRT, maintaining your regimen, or simply exploring your options, you’ll find a provider who sees you as a whole person—not a diagnosis.
As a queer clinician with a trans brother, I’ve seen firsthand the struggles our community faces—barriers to care, the harm of being dismissed or delayed, and the devastating effects of being denied gender-affirming treatment. That’s why I’ve built my practice to be a safe, validating space where your identity is respected and your goals come first.
Serving patients in West LA, Long Beach, San Fernando Valley, Studio City, Valley Village, Hollywood Hills, Brentwood, Echo Park, Silverlake, Santa Monica, Culver City, Venice, Downtown Los Angeles / DTLA, Burbank, Glendale, Thousand Oaks, Westlake Village, Newbury Park, Camarillo, San Francisco, San Diego, Fresno, Bakersfield, Sacramento, Santa Cruz, Ventura, Santa Barbara, and beyond.
Initiation and continuation of hormone therapy (HRT) – testosterone, estradiol, anti-androgens, progesterone, and more
Informed consent model – no mandatory therapy letters or gatekeeping
Ongoing HRT monitoring & lab work
Affordable labs: If you don’t have insurance, we’ll help you access low-cost lab services.
Estradiol / Testosterone Blockers: If cost is an issue, minimum appointment schedule is 3, 6, and 12 months after dose adjustments. Once stable on treatment, I prefer appointments every 6 months, however will work with people if they can only afford one appointment per year.
Testosterone: Appointments and labs are required 3, 6, and 12 months after dose adjustments or starting treatment, or more frequently if there are lab abnormalities or complications. Once stable on treatment, as testosterone is a controlled medication, minimum appointments would be once every 120 days.
Support for surgical readiness evaluations (when needed)
Mental health screening and medication support if desired
Referrals to affirming specialists and community resources
Care for nonbinary and gender-expansive individuals – including low-dose regimens and custom HRT plans
We take time to understand your goals and work with you to develop a care plan that fits your body and your identity.
CostofFeminizationTreatmentwithoutinsurance
It breaks my heart that so many people can’t access gender-affirming care and transgender HRT without insurance. One of my biggest goals in building Be Well Berlin is to make high-quality, judgment-free mental health and hormone care more affordable and accessible.
If the $100/month membership for unlimited care is cost-prohibitive for you, you can still access care on a pay-per-visit basis:
Initial gender-affirming consult: $250
Follow-up appointments: $125–$175 (Pricing depends on visit length and medical complexity. Unfortunately, I cannot offer sliding scale rates due to contractual obligations with insurance companies.)
Estrogen Therapy
Required Labs (Baseline, 3, 6, and 12 months after starting or adjusting treatment. Once stable, labs are required annually.)

As a queer clinician and member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I’ve been fighting for health equity since 2012—and I’ve been providing gender-affirming care since 2017. At every organization I’ve worked with, I’ve been a founding or integral part of LGBTQ+ health initiatives—helping write care guidelines, training other providers, and pushing systems toward equity.
My commitment to this care is deeply personal. Watching my brother navigate the healthcare system as a young trans person—at a time when affirming care was almost nonexistent—left a lasting impression. I saw the gaps, the harm, and the incredible need. That experience fuels my mission at Be Well Berlin: to make high-quality, respectful, gender-affirming care truly accessible.
What’s happening in this country right now is abhorrent—but I will continue to do everything in my power to protect trans, nonbinary, and Two-Spirit patients, and ensure that healthcare remains a space of dignity, safety, and autonomy.
Q: Can I get transgender HRT in California through telehealth?
A. Absolutely. We offer transgender hormone therapy (HRT) via telehealth for patients across California, including Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Sacramento, Fresno, Long Beach, Oakland, Santa Rosa, Palm Springs, and other surrounding areas. Whether you're starting or continuing HRT, we provide accessible and affirming care.
Q: Do you offer gender-affirming hormone therapy (HRT) in Alaska?
A: We are in the process of adding gender-affirming HRT via telehealth throughout Alaska, including Anchorage, Fairbanks, Juneau, Wasilla, Sitka, Ketchikan, Palmer, Bethel, and other rural or remote communities. Our goal is to make transgender and nonbinary hormone care accessible across the entire state. We're hoping to be up and running in Alaska by June 2025.
Q: Do you serve nonbinary and Two-Spirit patients? A. Yes. We specialize in inclusive, personalized hormone therapy for nonbinary, gender-diverse, and Two-Spirit individuals. Whether you're exploring microdosing, low-dose HRT, or nontraditional hormone plans, we’ll work together to find a treatment that aligns with your identity and goals.
Q: Is gender-affirming care covered by insurance in California or Alaska?
A. Yes! We accept most major insurance plans in California and are actively working to accept Alaska Medicaid and regional plans such as Premera Blue Cross, Moda Health, and Tricare West. We also offer a simple, affordable $100/month membership, which includes unlimited visits for HRT, mental health, and general care—no insurance needed.
Q: Can I start HRT if I haven’t had therapy or a formal diagnosis?
A: Yes. We follow an informed consent model, meaning you don’t need a therapist’s letter to start hormone therapy. If you’re ready, we’re ready to support you—no gatekeeping, just personalized, affirming care.
Q: What kinds of hormones do you prescribe?
A: We offer a range of HRT options tailored to your needs, including:
Estrogen (oral tablets, patches, injections)
Spironolactone or finasteride for testosterone suppression
Testosterone (injection, gel, cream)
Microdosing and nonbinary-friendly HRT plans
We’ll discuss the pros and cons of each route and help you decide what feels right for you.
Q: How quickly can I start gender-affirming HRT?
A: Most patients can start HRT within 7–14 days of their first appointment. We strive for rapid access to care, especially for patients in rural Alaska towns like Nome, Barrow (Utqiaġvik), Kodiak, and Valdez, and Central and Northern California regions like Redding, Bakersfield, Merced, and Chico.
A. Yes! We provide compassionate, trauma-informed mental health care, including CBT, motivational interviewing, and affirming medication management for depression, anxiety, ADHD, and insomnia. Our goal is to offer whole-person care, especially for the LGBTQIA+ community.
